With those three words, Poison — the glam-slam kings of noise — unleashed their unapologetic style on MTV… and the world.

Up to that point, Poison had been grinding on the L.A. club circuit: playing shows, plastering flyers, and doing showcases. In the end, they bet on themselves, self-financed their debut, and shopped it around. The result? Look What the Cat Dragged In was born.

The first single, “Cry Tough,” didn’t quite catch fire. But it was their second single — the infectious, feel-good party anthem “Talk Dirty to Me” — that made us all crank the volume in our old man’s Ford.

The music video was pure Poison: Bret’s swagger, Bobby’s brunette mane, C.C.’s arsenal of guitars… and behind it all, Rikki Rockett’s wild Pearl World Series drum kit — complete with dynamite-faced toms, racing stripes, American flair, and his name emblazoned across both bass drum heads.

At Guitar Nut Tees, we’re obviously guitar-obsessed. But sometimes, we go a little nuts for iconic drum kits too. So when that kit popped up for sale on Reverb, we knew we had to honor it… with its very own tee.

This shirt is a tribute — to Poison, to ’80s rock, to wild times, and to the one and only drum dynamo: Rikki Rockett.
