Facing an empty inventory, Grover lent Steve his personal sunburst Charvel to get him through the upcoming Alcatrazz tour. But Steve fell in love with the guitar. So much so that he had his tech, Elwood, repaint it green — and just like that, the legendary "Green Meanie" was born.
